The Two Fatalities Revealed in the Ivy League School Shooting as Police Persist in Hunt for Perpetrator.

Both young individuals who lost their lives in the weekend's violent attack on the university campus had tributes paid to them on Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their killer persisted following the discharge by local law enforcement of the single suspect of interest in the case.

Tributes for Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was called “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, as stated by the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which honored her memory at a service on Sunday.

Cook was the vice-presidency of Brown’s chapter of the campus GOP group, the group said. Karoline Leavitt also posted sympathies online, remarking: “There are no words. Thinking of her loved ones and companions, especially her parents.”

The Second Victim

The other deceased individual was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, an Uzbek national in his first year of studies at the renowned school, his family confirmed.

His name was confirmed by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. His ambitions were lofty of entering the field of neurosurgery and helping people,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a memorial statement.

What Happened

Nine more persons were wounded in the weekend shooting in the engineering building of Brown’s grounds in Providence, during the institution's end-of-term tests.

Officials stated by the end of Sunday that a 24-year-man taken into custody in a raid at a Hampton Inn about around 27 kilometers from the scene earlier in the day was released from custody.

“We have a murderer out there,” said the state's top prosecutor, Peter Neronha.

He added, “Investigations can lead one way, and then you must reassess and pursue a different angle, and that is the current situation over the last approximately one day.”

An American diplomat, Jonathan Henick, said he was “deeply saddened” by the student's death in a tribute. “Our profound condolences go out to his relatives, companions, and peers and lament the passing of his promising future.”
