'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his desire in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial major achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously think about prolonging his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich stays Kane's main focus
